A group of people, some carrying flags of Armenia, stopped their cars and shut down the 134 Freeway Tuesday night in Burbank, causing a long backup that stretched for miles.

The closure was near the 101 Freeway interchange.

Both sides of the freeway were stopped temporarily. The eastbound side of the freeway was back moving after a short interruption. The westbound side was more affected, but both sides were back moving around 9 p.m.

Protesters appeared to gather at CBS Studios in Burbank a short time later.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
