Uber, Lyft and DoorDash have spent close to $200 million dollars in their campaign to support Proposition 22, which would exempt app-based companies from California labor laws. The measure would deprive millions of workers of basic protections—such as minimum wage and unemployment insurance—that app-based workers have in other countries.…
